AVG Free - Definately need an Antivirus installed on your pc and i generally use AVG Free Firefox 3 - In my opinion Firefox is better then Internet Explorer and has alot of useful extensions you can download and add to your browser. CCleaner - Use this to clear temp files and unwanted files on your hard drive Klite Codec Pack WinRar - For all the zipped files you may get and need to uncompress. Live Messenger Adobe Flash - For your flash based web content Adobe Reader - To view PDF's CrossLoop - This is optional but i install this on any pc i build as i use it for fixing problems remotely. Openoffice (if no Microsoft Office) If you have Office 2003/07 then install that but when you don't have Microsoft Office then i recommend using openoffice Google Picassa - Is a usefull program for displaying your photos
